Hello. You can call me Jack. I'm new to the whole blogging thing, but I figured with recent circumstances now would be a good time to start. I'll start by telling you what this whole blog is gonna be about.
When I was about 10 years old strange things started happening around my family's house. Most of this phenomena pertained to my brother Greg and his friend Brian. He and my brother would always be brought to this park near our house. Everything was normal until one day when they both decided to sneak off into the woods. I ran after them to keep them from getting hurt (they were only 6 years old). I lost them after a while, as well as my way out of the woods. Somehow I managed to track them down again. They had completely stopped. They were just standing there in the middle of a clearing staring off into nothing. I shouted to them and they looked back at me with a blank stare and just started walking in my direction. They walked past me as if I wasn't even there so I followed them. They had somehow found a path that led right back to the playground of the park where we had started. What made things even weirder is that they happened to snap out of whatever trance they were in as soon as they were out of the woods.
I asked them what they were thinking and why they had just ran off like they did. They said they just wanted to explore and they showed me some rocks they had collected. Then they said they saw a tall man. I asked them how tall and they pointed to a nearby tree. Then I asked what he looked like and they told me they didn't know. How could they not know? They just saw him no more than five minutes ago. They said they didn't remember how they got out of the woods either.
Everything was normal for the next few weeks. Then Greg said he had seen the man again in the park. I scolded him for going in the woods again, but he said he hadn't gone into the woods and he had seen the man standing at the edge of the trees. For the next couple months it was pretty much the same story every time he would talk to me after the park. One day on the drive home, I asked him if he had seen the man at the park. He said no. I figured everything was going to be back to normal. Later that night, Greg and Brian had a sleepover. As I drifted off to sleep, both of them ran into my room and woke me up. They said they'd both had dreams about the tall man and the woods. I told them that they could move the sleepover to my room if it would make them feel better. Eventually we all fell asleep and once again I woke up to them shaking me awake. They said they saw the tall man again. I told them it was only a dream, but they said it wasn't. They went into the kitchen to get some water and saw him outside the window in our front yard. Then I became terrified and none of us were able to sleep for the rest of the night.
About a week later, I had my first encounter. Greg and Brian were playing outside and I went out to call them for dinner. He was standing across the yard from them. Both of them just stared at him, petrified. I signaled to both of them to come inside, but of course, they were too scared to move. I tried talking to the man. I told him to leave or I'd call the police. He didn't answer. In fact, he didn't have a face. He was wearing a business suit for some reason as well. He turned his attention toward me. At this moment, I started to hear a deafening, low-pitched sound. Well, I wasn't "hearing" it. It was like it was inside of my head. Next thing I knew I was waking up the next morning like nothing had happened. I continued to see him for the next TEN YEARS.
Every time he would visit I didn't feel in danger. I knew he wasn't there for me. He seemed to be drawn to Greg and Brian. It was like I was stale food to him. After a while when I would talk to them about it, they didn't know what I was talking about. They didn't remember anything about him. Perhaps that was for the best though. About five years after the first encounter, I was in our front yard as he passed by. I yelled to the man. He stopped but didn't turn toward me. I told him that whoever he was, I would stop him. He would leave us alone. That's where Artemis comes in.
